Define the Line

There's a saying about drawing a line in the sand- which means this is the limit, no more, there will be consequences...

"You might not realize it, but copying commercial software without permission or downloading it illegally is stealing. It's time to "Define theLine" between sharing and stealing when it comes to computer software"

"According to a study conducted by IPSOS Public Affairs, only 32 percent of students are paying for software most of the time. That leaves 68 percent ofstudents who are potentially using commercial software illegally"

Sharing is OK with the cookies and candy that you purchased but sharing the software you purchased is not OK.

The Student Code of Conduct at NMTC is noted in the catalog:
"copying or tampering with computer files or programs...will subject the student to disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion."
