Have you been to the doctor and heard something surprising? Where do you go for clear, easy to understand medical information?
In GALILEO there is a tab for Medicine & Health. There are a number of resources aimed to the professional and at the consumer.
The consumer sites are a bit easier to understand- one site is Consumer Health Complete. It is powered by Ebsco but it's not the traditional green and blue Ebsco layout. It is pleasing to the eye and seems easy to navigate for a person who wants specific information about something the doctor said.
The Quick Find terms are in "people" language but they do link to more "professional" terms. There is a Medical Dictionary link.
If you have a question or a concern about a medical issue- check out GALILEO for comprehensive medical information that you can understand.

Pretty is as Pretty does!
In the NMTC portion of GALILEO there are two links to Agricola information. The Ebsco version and the USDA : National Agricultural Library version.
Both are an access point to the index of materials, neither offer the full text.
But to my eyes the USDA site is "prettier". Does beauty matter when doing research? It's the information that counts. It takes time and effort (and money) to create a "pretty" web site or database. You have an option on the NMTC GALILEO portion- try them both- see which one you prefer.

And now what?
You finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - what do you read next?
NoveList (an Ebsco product) in GALILEO offers a Find Similar Books link.
Search for the title, click on the title so you see the full page description, under the book cover is a blue/purple button. You can limit your next search to adult titles or childrens titles. The New York Times classifies Harry Potter as a children's book but I know as many adults reading the series as children.
Interesting what NoveList suggests. It does give one some ideas of other authors that just might have a great story to tell!
