That's what intrigued me - the noting of legitimate sources to prove the relationship. Genealogists use a "preponderance of evidence" from verifiable resources to tie people and places together. This is what Germaine Greer has done so well- used verifiable sources (and noted them) to show a better picture of Shakespeare's wife!
