POD

POD = Print On Demand. The coming thing for publishers and authors. There will be no need to stockpile stacks of books just print a copy when someone orders it.

A couple of weeks ago The Distant Librarian talked about Amazon.com hooking up with libraries to issue POD of public domain materials!

This could be great for those who would rather have a hard copy than slog through an e-book online!
