Who has the book?

World Cat is a catalog of materials owned by libraries throughout the world- hence the name World Cat!

How do you tell which library holds the item?
GALILEO
...Databases A-Z
.....Jump to W
...... select WorldCat
  • Type in your topic, title or author
  • When the results come up- see that link - Libraries Worldwide?
  • Click on the Libraries Worldwide link and voila- arranged by state - starting with Georgia-are the libraries that own the title you're looking for
  • You can click on the library name link, then click on their logo link and you're at their library web site which will usually have information about the location, the hours, etc

You may ask the Librarian to borrow any title found in World Cat from another library (some things don't get loaned - brand new fiction, Reference, Genealogy, Archival materials, videos, etc).

World Cat enables small libraries to serve their patrons! We're glad to be a part of the system.

The password for home use of GALILEO is available to the citizens of Georgia from your librarian. Some resources noted in this BLOG are only available to NMTC patrons.
