The Spider and the Fly

this cautionary tale by Mary Howitt has been illustrated by Tony DiTerlizzi (EASY collection PR 4809 .H2 S64 2002)

"Will you walk into my parlour?"
said the Spider to the Fly,

and the story continues until.....

He dragged her up his winding stair,
into his dismal den,
Within his little parlour -
but she ne-er came out again!

...and so ends our celebration of April as Poetry month. Did you find a poem or poet that dragged you in?
