Rainy day fun

It's raining in Acworth- over 5 inches in my home rain gauge since Dennis started sharing the precipitation on Sunday.

What to do on a rainy day? Thumbing through the almanac can stimulate an "ah ha" moment.

....There are almanacs for check out in the AY 67 section of the library (Room 103). We put the two current years in reference. Everything else can be checked out.

There is so much stuff in an almanac- country information, statistics, pictures, lists of disasters, volcanoes, mountains, inventors- thumbing through an almanac creates a wonderful opportunity to say "Wow I didn't know that". And just think how prepared you'd be for Jeopardy or some game show.
